Carlisle Appoints Karl “Ted” Messmer President of Carlisle Brake & Friction

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Carlisle Companies Inc. (NYSE:CSL) has announced the appointment of Karl “Ted” Messmer as President of Carlisle Brake & Friction (CBF), effectively immediately, replacing Matt Dietrich who has left to pursue other opportunities.

Ted brings with him a solid history of leadership experience, demonstrated success and a global perspective. He was most recently Vice President & General Manager of Belden, Inc.’s (NYSE:BDC) Enterprise Networking Division which consisted of manufacturing plants, R&D facilities and commercial operations across North America, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Belden, Ted was Global Director of Commercial Operations with Danaher, Inc. (NYSE:DHR). Following his active service in South Korea with the U.S. Army as a Captain and Aviation Officer, Ted held a variety of leadership positions with Corning, Inc. (NYSE:GLW). Ted holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a Masters of Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business from Duke University.
