This prestigious honor adds to the growing list of accolades for Carlisle's innovative weatherproofing technologies.
Green Builder Media, one of North America's leading media outlets focused on sustainable building products, selected Blueskin VPTech for its exceptional ability to simplify energy code compliance while reducing construction timelines. The Sustainable Product of the Year award celebrates solutions that make homes more efficient, resilient, healthy, intelligent and safe.
Vision 2030 Commitment to Innovation
This latest recognition continues Carlisle's streak of product innovation awards resulting from the Company’s Vision 2030 commitment to innovation investment in the areas of energy efficiency, labor-saving solutions and integrated systems. Blueskin VPTech was previously chosen as one of Architectural Record Magazine's "Record Products of the Year" in the Building Envelope category and recognized as one of the “75 Top Building Products for 2024” by Building Design + Construction Magazine. The product was also nominated for the Best of IBS™ Awards in two separate categories at the National Association of Home Builders 2025 International Builders’ Show®.
Since its launch in June 2024, Blueskin VPTech has attracted substantial customer interest as a first-of-its-kind innovation in building envelope solutions. The product was created for the residential construction market and delivers energy efficiency and labor savings through an integrated building envelope solution with three components: a weather-resistive barrier (WRB), continuous insulation (CI), and seam sealing in a single, integrated panel.
Energy efficiency is delivered in part through a tighter building envelope. Independent blower door testing confirms a 73% reduction in air changes per hour when installed in conjunction with an unvented attic with open cell spray foam. Blueskin VPTech also helps streamline the residential home building process. During trials with independent building contractors, Blueskin VPTech installed 30% faster compared to sheathing, continuous insulation, and weather-resistive barrier installed as separate components since builders can achieve insulation and weatherization in a single trip around the house.

In addition to Blueskin VPTech, Carlisle's SealTite™ PRO OCX was also recognized by Green Builder Media for its sustainable formulation, which was officially recognized as a USDA Certified Biobased Product under the USDA’s BioPreferred Program, signifying its verified content of renewable biological ingredients.
